As we work on our portfolio and find ways to safely invest for income we will share that in the retirement income section. Due to water shortage in our area we had to replace our toilet for a more water efficient model as our local utility offered a large rebate. I was going to break up the old one and put it in the trash pickup but discovered it had a date made stamp of Dec 1939. Instead of discarding this old toilet we decided to give it a new life as a flower pot. We placed it in our herb garden and planted temporary Pansy, until spring time when we will plant some herbs. 
This is our combined effort to green living, saving water and reuse of old stuff. The white post in the photo is an umbrella we used to keep heavy rain from damaging the Pansy’s.
